You like beer? Sweet, so do I!
And we’re not talking about your run-of-the-mill, watered-down, adjuct-filled, sort-of-resembles-light-lager, light-spelled-“lite”, mass-produced, shitty-tasting, generic beer, correct?
Ok, good. Then you’re in the right place.
“Denver Beer Guy” was born out of a love of quality, flavorful, thoughtful beer. I’m not exactly a “beer snob” per se, as I actually HATE when people describe beer like it’s wine. No beer does not have “notes”, and has no flavors/smells other than the basics; sweet, salty, sour, bitter, and savory. Come on, it’s freaking BEER people! But there is a distinction of course, and that distinction is flavor. And to me, the flavor of your average American-style light lager made with mostly rice and corn and produced by a corporation, just isn’t cutting it these days.
Nope, it’s all about the flavorful beers that this country has so many of. Local, on the other side of the US, whatever it may be, just make sure it tastes great.
In 2012 my wife and I traveled the continental United States attending and participating in a sporting event in every state and writing about it for our website, CoupleOfSports.com. Along the way, we went to over 100 micro, nano, and even some macro breweries in nearly every state in the union. Some were amazing, others were unique, and a few were forgettable. But they all have a story, and I’m here to tell it to you.
Denver Beer Guy is a collection of brewery, brewpub, beer, and even some food reviews and stories from Denver and the rest of the USA.
Thanks for reading. Cheers!
Nice about page! I took a beer journey as well and have found there are tons of average beers, a decent amount of totally crap beers, and a small group of this is beer beers! I journey for the later. Beer Disciples
